Who operates DroneMex
DroneMex is a Mexican marketplace connecting companies with AFAC-certified drone pilots. It is operated by Andrei Belyi as a registered sole proprietor (persona física con actividad empresarial) — not a corporation, not an agency, an independent platform. Development began in January 2026 and the platform opened in June 2026. This page exists so you know exactly who is on the other side before any money moves.

I built DroneMex out of a personal interest in drones and a professional background in software. I come from DevOps engineering, and the flying started as a hobby — which is where the idea came from: a pilot should be able to find paid work without depending on who they know, and a company should be able to hire without risking the payment.

Two problems solved in the same place. Certified drone pilots have the equipment and the license, but finding work depends on who they know, and getting paid depends on the client's good faith. Companies that need a survey, a thermographic inspection, or aerial video have no easy way to tell whether the person they hire holds a current license, carries insurance, and flies the right equipment.
DroneMex puts both sides in one flow: the company posts a mission and compares proposals, the pilot competes for real work in their region, and the money is held in escrow until the deliverable is approved. Neither side has to trust the other up front.
How pilots are verified
A pilot does not appear in the directory until they upload their AFAC license certificate and aircraft registration, and those documents are reviewed on their profile. We verify that the documents exist and are legible and consistent — we do not issue or validate licenses; the authority does that.
If you hire a pilot and something doesn't match what their profile claims, tell us and we'll review it.
How your money is handled
Payments run through Stripe. When you accept a proposal, the amount is held in escrow — the pilot can see the work is funded, but receives nothing until they deliver. Approving the deliverable releases payment to them; if you don't respond, it releases automatically 72 hours after delivery. The platform fee is 10%, and posting a mission is free.
DroneMex does not store your card details — those live with Stripe.
DroneMex has no official relationship with, affiliation to, or endorsement from Mexico's Federal Civil Aviation Agency. What we do is require and review each pilot's AFAC documentation before listing them. The license is issued by the authority, not by us.
